Hello everyone - here are February’s dates for your diary for members of TOO MUCH INSTAGRAM. If you’re not yet a member, read on and perhaps this will pique your interest 😉

Too Much Instagram is where I support writers and authors to find more readers using Instagram. Members have access to weekly advice chats, guest speakers who’re walking the talk, monthly Ask Me Anything clinics, and more exclusive content such as ideas for posts and how-to guides so you can get more out of your time on Instagram.

In February, my focus is on preparing members for a ‘Growth Sprint’ during March so if growth is a priority for you, upgrade your subscription to become a member and join us in our training sessions 😉👇🏼

The Dates for Your Diary are updated at the start of every month. Check back in at the start of March to see what else has been added.

📲 Every Monday we talk about our plans

Where? In the WHAT ARE YOU POSTING? chat threads

Why? It’s an invitation to share what you’re going to post to your Instagram account that week. I’ll share mine, talk you through some of my decision-making, then open the floor up to you.

Come along…

💡to help you stay accountable to yourself. I know if I make public declarations of my intentions I’m much more likely to stick to the plan

💡to inspire one another. Pooling ideas will mean we create a bank of post ideas that you can add your own spin to, or that will spark some ideas of your own.

💡to get advice and encouragement. Have an idea but aren’t sure what kind of post it should be, how to write a hook, or how to find the right audio to go with it, come and ask me! If you’re really stuck, I can even make suggestions for how to get the wheels turning again.

A couple of messages from last week’s chat…

🎙Tuesday 4th February, 10-11am GMT, guest speaker, author
Leah Hazard

Leah Hazard is not only a member of TMI(!) but is also the best-selling author of two non-fiction books, with a third coming out in 2027. She’s a practising NHS midwife, an activist, and a mother of two girls, has just launched her new Substack ‘Body of Work’ and, as though she’s not busy enough, she also has a very exciting fiction project coming soon in 2025.

Leah is the author of ‘Hard Pushed: a midwife’s story’ (2019) and ‘Womb: the inside story of where we all began’ (2023). ‘Birth Wars’ is due out in 2027.

As you can imagine, Leah has a wealth of experience and insights that I know will be super useful and relevant to you all so I’m really looking forward to this chat in February. We’re going to be talking about her experiences of launching her non-fiction books in the past and how she is pivoting into promoting fiction. We’ll also dig into the part social media - and specifically, Instagram - has played in her career as an author so far, but also how she sees her presence on the platform changing.

These chats with authors and publishing industry professionals are a way for me to speak with people who are really walking the talk; who are living busy lives, with competing demands, while writing and promoting books. There is so much we can learn from one another, so I’m really excited to be bringing these guests to you all.

If you attend live, there’ll be an opportunity to ask Leah your own questions. Members of TOO MUCH INSTAGRAM can also submit questions in advance for me to ask on your behalf if you’re unable to make the call live.

Scroll down to register for the call with Leah, or, if you’re not yet a member of TMI, upgrade your subscription and I’d love to see you there!

👩🏻‍🏫 Ask Me Anything, Wednesday 12th February, 2-3pm GMT/ 10am EST/ 7am PST

🪄Content Create-alongs

Monday 10th February, 2-3pm GMT

Thursday 27th February, 12.30pm-1.30pm GMT

A chance to create Instagram content in company.

If creating your Instagram posts is something that gets pushed to the bottom of your to-do list, this is an opportunity to make some space in your week and get some posts ticked off your to-do list. We start by setting our intentions for the hour, and at the end come back together to review what we’ve achieved.

If you’re a member of TMI (yay!) scroll down and you’ll find the link to register for this call. Once you’ve registered you’ll automatically receive the link to the call. I look forward to seeing you there! If you’d like to become a member of TMI, upgrade your subscription by clicking on the button below.
