Every Monday we talk about our plans
Members: our weekly content advice chat restarts on Monday 6th January - see you there!
Where? In the WHAT ARE YOU POSTING? chat threads
Why? It’s an invitation to share what you’re going to post to your Instagram account that week. I’ll share mine, talk you through some of my decision-making, then open the floor up to you.
Come along…
💡to help you stay accountable to yourself. I know if I make public declarations of my intentions I’m much more likely to stick to the plan
💡to inspire one another. Pooling ideas will mean we create a bank of post ideas that you can add your own spin to, or that will spark some ideas of your own.
💡to get advice and encouragement. Have an idea but aren’t sure what kind of post it should be, how to write a hook, or how to find the right audio to go with it, come and ask me! If you’re really stuck, I can even make suggestions for how to get the wheels turning again.
Thurs 16th January, 9.30-10.30am, Ask Me Anything
exclusive to TMI members, replay available
An opportunity to pick my brains for an hour. You can submit your question in advance if you can’t make it live, or come along and have a chat with me.
To join the call, make sure you are a TMI member by clicking on the button to upgrade your subscription. If you’re already a member (yay!) scroll down and you’ll find the link to register for this call near the bottom of this piece. Once you’ve registered you’ll automatically receive the link to the live call.

2024 was a big year for author Hayley Dunlop as, after more than 20 publisher rejections, she signed a two book deal that will see her debut, ‘It’s Beginning To Look A Lot Like Christmas’ published in August 2025.
For those of us still in the trenches of querying agents and submitting to publishers, hers is a story to give us hope and I’m looking forward to asking her about the rollercoaster ride she has been on and how she kept going despite so much disappointment.
I’m also going to be asking Hayley about her plans for the next few months as she gears up for her book’s release into the world, and how I hope she won’t be changing anything about her current approach to Instagram that mostly consists of posting about niche interests such as hand-dryers, Christmas movies, and the New Yorker Cartoon Caption Competition.
If you attend live, there’ll be an opportunity to ask Hayley your own questions. Members of TOO MUCH INSTAGRAM can also submit questions in advance for me to ask on your behalf if you’re unable to make the call live.
This session is FREE to all subscribers and a recording will also be sent out to all subscribers. Please click on the button below to register for the live call and you’ll be sent the Zoom link automatically.
*postponed - new date tbc* 🎁 GIFT FOR ALL SUBSCRIBERS 🎁 podcast producer,

After 19 years of creating audio and visual content for social media and digital platforms at the BBC, Hannah founded Read The Room Productions in 2024.
Read The Room is an audio production company dedicated to bringing arts and literature to life and Hannah makes podcasts, radio and audio books, as well as presenting a series on BBC Sounds called The Aberystwyth Book Club.
Over the past few years, podcasts have emerged as a powerful tool for writers and authors to expand your audiences. Research shows listeners often feel like they know and can trust the hosts of their favourite podcasts as the medium forces hosts and guests to present real, authentic versions of themselves. When it comes to books, this makes podcasts powerful drivers of decision-making about what readers are going to buy and read next.
Appearing on a podcast as a guest can be daunting though so, to shed some light on the process, I’m going to be talking to Hannah about what happens behind the scenes of a book-related podcast - how to create one, how to pitch yourself as a guest, and how you can give yourself the best possible chances of success.
If you attend live, there’ll be an opportunity to ask Hannah your own questions. Members of TOO MUCH INSTAGRAM can also submit questions in advance for me to ask on your behalf if you’re unable to make the call live.
This live session is FREE to all subscribers and a recording will be sent to members of TOO MUCH INSTAGRAM. You can become a member by upgrading your subscription.
