Hello everyone - here are Marchโ€™s dates for your diary including a BONUS for all readers, plus live and recorded events for members of TOO MUCH INSTAGRAM. If youโ€™re not yet a member, read on to find out more โค๏ธ

Too Much Instagram is where I support writers and authors with using Instagram to find more readers.

Members have access to weekly advice chats, guest speakers whoโ€™re walking the talk, monthly Ask Me Anything clinics, and more exclusive content such as ideas for posts and how-to guides so you can get more out of your time on Instagram.

At the moment weโ€™re approaching the end of four โ€˜training sessionsโ€™ that members have been participating in, in preparation for a GROWTH SPRINT in March. Find out more about that here:

Growth Sprint Resources

The Dates for Your Diary are updated at the start of every month. Check back in at the start of April to see what else has been added.

๐Ÿ“ฒ Every Monday we talk about our plans

Where? In the WHAT ARE YOU POSTING? chat threads

Why? Itโ€™s an invitation to share what youโ€™re going to post to your Instagram account that week. Iโ€™ll share mine, talk you through some of my decision-making, then open the floor up to you.

Come alongโ€ฆ

๐Ÿ’กto help you stay accountable to yourself. I know if I make public declarations of my intentions Iโ€™m much more likely to stick to the plan

๐Ÿ’กto inspire one another. Pooling ideas will mean we create a bank of post ideas that you can add your own spin to, or that will spark some ideas of your own.

๐Ÿ’กto get advice and encouragement. Have an idea but arenโ€™t sure what kind of post it should be, how to write a hook, or how to find the right audio to go with it, come and ask me! If youโ€™re really stuck, I can even make suggestions for how to get the wheels turning again.

A couple of messages from recent chatsโ€ฆ

๐ŸŽ™ GUEST SPEAKER, Susan Cahill, author of The World Between The Rain, Thursday 20th March, 12pm GMT

This talk is a ๐ŸŽgift๐ŸŽ, available for all subscribers

Last year, five months before the publication of her debut middle-grade novel, The World Between The Rain, Susan Cahill reached out to me for support with her Instagram account. She understood that Instagram could be a powerful tool for reaching the people who would buy her book for their children, but, as a time-poor writer, editor, academic, and mum she wanted support with making the most of the time she had.

Susan Cahill, author of โ€˜The World Between The Rainโ€™

We ended up working together from June-Dec 2024 and in that time, Susan more than doubled her Instagram following, harnessed her network to reach over 26k people with the launch post for her book (even though at the time her following was under 1k), and gained clarity on the kinds of posts she needed to create in order to reach her ideal audience.

Her hard work in both the promotion of her book and, of course, the writing of it(!) were rewarded with over 1k sales in the first two weeks after publication, rave reviews, and a long-list nomination alongside her editor Mikka Haugaard, for the Branford Boase Award 2025.

Iโ€™m delighted that Susan has agreed to come along and be interviewed in March as I think many of you will relate to the position she started from - with little idea and even less time - and youโ€™ll gain insights and inspiration from the very practical steps she took to get her book into the hands of her readers.

To come along LIVE, register for the call using the button below ๐Ÿ‘‡๐Ÿผ Open to all readers.
