IG really is a love it or leave it kinda place. I have both a personal and profesh account. I'm rarely on the profesh one because I see myself phasing out the side biz I have; the pressure to post interesting stuff was becoming a chore. And I'm rarely on my personal one even though I used to post on there a lot. But I have to say that I love discovering new things and new people to follow. Some of the stuff I've bought has been due to the ads I see on there. LOL
I love that when it became a chore you switched it up - taking control and making it work for us is the best way of taking the good and leaving the rest!
Really enjoyed this not just because you’re a great writer but because it’s how I feel about it too. My world has expanded, my knowledge increased and man oh man the friends I’ve made that have moved offline too. I’m glad of those sticky little fingerprints…most of the time.

wow - it's like the greatest hits of the 90s-00s. Crop tops, wide jeans and second-wave feminism. A heady cocktail. To be fair though, I don't think some of these tropes ever fully went away, and once we start watching/ reading stuff about it on social media the algorithms don't understand that we're watching because we're HORRIFIED and shows us more and the noise just gets louder.

Although I have to say, the current ‘I’m not a feminist’ Insta trend is sadly lacking in educated opinions about feminism IMO
OHMYGOD I haven't seen that - I mean, I'm fond of saying there's a bit of the internet for everyone but that is infuriating!
