Excellent post. I worry that a giveaway for a chance of. Weekend at a writers retreat (for example) in exchange for a review might not be ethical? Would people assume they have to give 5-stars when they think the book deserves 4?
Too protect your own integrity, I think you'd have to be clear that the reviews should be honest and authentic and that the winner would be drawn at random. There's a limit to how much we can control the actions of others though!
