⚓️ What is Anchor Content?
Anchor Content describes posts that do two jobs:
introduce you and your work to new (unconnected) audiences in a way that makes them feel like you understand them, and makes them want to follow your account
make people who already follow your account (connected audiences) feel like they’re in the right place and they’ve made a good decision by following your account
BEFORE YOU BEGIN
To start developing your own Anchor Content messaging, you must understand what your Ideal Reader is looking for when they are scrolling Instagram.
What are they interested in? What do they care about? How do they want to feel? What kinds of stories or ideas or information or education etc. are they looking for?
If you don’t feel like you know your Ideal Reader in this way, I recommend you watch the DEFINE workshop before starting the preparation for the GROWTH SPRINT. This will make it more likely you will see the results you want to see:
How many times should you post Anchor Content during the Growth Sprint?
During the GROWTH SPRINT you should plan to post Anchor Content approximately once a week.
Exactly how often will depend on your overall posting cadence during the GROWTH SPRINT, which in turn will depend on your capacity.
I’ll talk about ideal levels of posting (and how to adjust it if that commitment is unrealistic for you) in more detail in the planning session on Thursday 6th March. Click the button to register to attend live; a recording will be available:
