This was very inspiring! Makes me think of reaching out to hair salons to market my forthcoming non fiction debut or do an event in that space.

Do it! Ever since my local nail salon started hosting after hours "girls" parties for groups of friends with margaritas or champagne, I thought it wouldn't take much more to turn those into book parties or author Q&As.

Honestly Sharon, Wendy’s book is GORGEOUS. My copy is dog eared and covered in scribbled notes to myself. Just brilliant!

I used to work as a Product Manager. I even was a project lead and a product manager for a specific product simultaneously-- which was a tremendous effort-- and that's precisely what it feels like to write and promote at the same time: you write, edit, advertise, look for stakeholders, supporters, buyers... I'm all in, but I need help :P

I don’t often phrase it like this because a book *is* more than a product, BUT it *is* also a product!! One that authors are involved in every step of then way and yes omg it’s ALOT!

There is a lot to juggle but it's worth finding a route because that means you're a "working author" or a "working writer." Here's an article I wrote on that for Medium.
